Today I was in search of a new lip liner, I wanted whirl from MAC , boldly bare from MAC, velvet teddy lipstick from MAC and Oak from MAC but I didn't want to splurge just yet so I swatched it and went on a hunt to find a similar colours, until I can dive into buying those.
First I found maxfactor colour elixir liner in 16 brown n bold
That's the colour, it's similar to whirl but not the exact same, price was £4.99 but got it on sale for £2.49 not bad. It's a nice browny red colour I do like it a lot.
Next colour was maxfactor 06 mauve moment
This is more pinky brown nude colour, similar to boldly bare. Love this colour alone or under myth from MAC or another nudey/pinky/brown colour. Price was £4.99
Next I got Rimmel London 046 ultimate
This Is a brown with a slight red tinge. I thought this was similar to oak but oak is more lighter. Price for this was £3.99 not too bad, I think there good quality lip liners for a decent price.
Next I purchased Rimmel London 011 spice
This is a browny/red colour, similar to velvet teddy lipstick from MAC in a way you could mix this with another liner to get a different colour. Price was £2.99 good for a lip liner!
Lastly I got 050 tiramisu
This is a nudey/pinky/browny/red colour, it's similar to whirl and velvet teddy not the same but similar. I like this colour to put underneath a nude lipstick or gloss it would look lovely. Price was £2.99 good price for a lovely colour.
These are also great lip liners for fall/autum in my opinion. Brown and bold is a lovely deep colour while mauve moment is a nice nude but with a tone, their great dupes and cost less too!
Here's a picture f them all together
They are similar to each other but different undertones set them apart. I do love all of them, can't wait to wear them!!
I do think I will purchase the MAC colours to add to my collection but for now these will do just fine.
I want to find more dupes for more MAC lipsticks & liners so I will post those too.
Thanks for reading, thanks for looking and take care!
Xx
